Hello, my name is Laura. I am a writer, artist, and teacher currently working in higher education. I am also a multimedia storyteller who works to make digital learning accessible to students of all levels and age groups.

Drawing from a background in environmental art, literature, and journalism, I rely on analogue and digital technology to tell stories that are interdisciplinary and multiplatform.

I've taught cross-curriculum studies at campuses such as Ringling College of Art and Design and The University of Houston.

My writing has been published in print and online for publications such as The St. Petersburg Times, Time.com, The Houston Press, and Origin Magazine.

My visual work has been exhibited in galleries and festivals, such as The Blaffer Art Museum, London’s Usurp Zone5 Film Festival,  Skyway Film Festival, and Alabama Song art space.

I hold an MFA in Interdisciplinary Practice from The University of Houston’s School of Fine Arts, an MA in Literature from Rice University, and a BA in Mass Communications with a concentration in Journalism from The University of South Florida.
